For our own family Chinese New Year celebration, I thought we would attempt to make some Chinese food. (Since most of the family was sick for Chinese New Year, Jan 26th, we had to put off our celebration until everyone was feeling better & would appreciate my attempts!)Maddie & I made Chinese Almond Cookies, Fortune Cookies & Haystacks for dessert. (I don't know that haystacks are really a Chinese dish, but they use chow mein noodles, so it counted!)
For our dinner, we had Egg Drop Soup (yummy), pot stickers (got to love Costco!), chicken chow mein (was ok), fried rice (yummy) & teriyaki chicken (costco, again!).
The highlight? Cooking with Maddie. Look at that face!!!
